Interpretation

  • RelVolume = 1.0 — Trading activity is normal (today ≈ 20-day average).
  • RelVolume > 1.0 — Higher-than-normal activity. Often accompanies breakouts, fresh news, or increased momentum.
  • RelVolume < 1.0 — Lower participation; moves may be weak or less reliable.
  • Rule of thumb: RelVolume > 2 or 3 often flags unusually strong interest and is used to scan for tradeable setups.
